About the University

University of Helsinki is located in Helsinki, Finland. The University ranks on the top 1 best universities of the world, established in 1640. University of Helsinki ranks amongst the top 50 universities in Europe and first in the whole Finland. The University of Helsinki is a member of “League of European Research Universities (LERU)”. This is an association of 21 leading research-intensive universities in Europe.

 

The goal of the University is to produce knowledge and share the same amongst the world to solve and meet the needs of the society. University believes that knowledge has the power to change the world and the society. At University of Helsinki, the interaction of the students and the teachers is an important part of the academic life. The 24% of the research staff comes from outside Finland and around the globe that brings the world class networks at the University.

 

There are around 31,200 students at the University of Helsinki of which 6% of them are international students. Around 1000 students come from all across the world for the exchange programs every year.

 

The University offers 35 International Master’s Programmes in English.

Master’s Programmes:

13000-18000 Euros/Year

(Depending on the Programme)

 

No tuition fees for:

  • D. Students
  • Exchange students
  • Citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland and individuals with permanent Finnish residence permit or long-term resident’s EU residence permit in Finland
